Bask in the island of Ceylon
An island nation in the Indian Ocean, where the power of the waves can be seen firsthand. Now the name is Sri Lanka, the former island of Ceylon. Locals call themselves Sri Lankans and are very offended if they are compared to Hindus, although they look very similar in appearance.

The island itself is notable for the variety of resorts and beaches. As well as rich flora and sights, for which many tourists choose their holidays to spend their leisure time in Sri Lanka. Tea plantations and elephant nurseries are known far beyond the island.
In Sri Lanka, you can swim almost all year round. air and water temperatures fluctuate between +28 and +33 degrees. From the end of October to April, you should choose resorts and beaches in the south-west of the island.
Most popular : 
- Bentota — a resort with minimal waves, a wide sandy beach. Not white, but cuddly. Shallow water entrance. Rather even small.
- Hikkaduwa is a well-developed resort tourist infrastructure. There is where to go outside the hotel. One of the few places where there is a coral reef. For diving enthusiasts, there are places where they get a wonderful underwater photo shoot.
- Beruwell — beaches, brick color. The hotels are located in an elevated position due to the strong ebb and flow. The beach coastline is fortified with a stone embankment. Almost always there are waves at the resort. It is advisable to swim in the first half of the day. This resort will appeal to those who like to ride the waves and is not afraid of the power of the water. The resort itself is quiet. There are few cafes and restaurants. There are also few supermarkets.

Not far there are mangroves for excursions. You can take a photo with a live crocodile. See monitor lizards of all sizes. Russian tourists gave them the name «Gosha».
- Galle is not a beach resort, but a place suitable for lovers of excursion programs and attractions.
- Unawatuna — a place better known to tourists who come here for the beautiful bay and the beautiful remote beach called Jungle Beach.

- The famous turtle farm is located nearby. And swimming nearby is prohibited, because the beach has been allocated by the state to breed endangered sea turtles.
